Krok

Krok was never on my top list of characters that I would ever want to see a modern release of, and it’s a little weird to me that yes, before the Predacons, G1 Dinobots, or even a full Rodimus Prime, we get not one, but two modern interpretations of an Action Master in a lower tier than sky fall. That being said, we have the figure now, and at the very least, it looks cool.

In Robot Mode, Krok is a repaint of Titans Return Wave one’s Skullsmasher, and in turn has all the same flaws as the original, mainly the loose hips, but looking past that, Krok is still pretty fun. The color scheme is by far my favorite part, the toxic 90’s green combined with the purple, pink and, black looks very eye catching and dynamic, but it’s the awesome Titan Master head sculpt that really makes it. Articulation is standard for a deluxe, but one added feature is a swivel below the elbow that acts as a wrist rotation.

Accessories are pretty versatile. First, is his bright green, impossible to photograph pistol, complemented by his alligator mode’s tail, that can be used as a sort of club weapon. Both can combine into a larger gun that can seat a Titan Master but, I sort of just prefer the pistol. If all else fails you can also deploy the claws from alligator mode like wolverine.

Size is fine for Krok, nothing unusual to report when next to other deluxes, but with fellow alligator Skullsmasher, it becomes clear to me how much better Krok uses this mold.

Transformation is more logical than interesting, but it does the job. The legs just flip back, the arms take the place of the robot head, and the alligator head folds over it. Combine the accessories together, and plug it in the end, and you’re done!

Krok’s Alligator mode is awesome, and has a lot of personality! It’s mouth can open revealing some awesome translucent green teeth, and the Titan Master sits under a now translucent cover, so you can see him in there.

Overall, Krok is a surprisingly decent figure for who it is. The articulation is good, Transformation is decent, and their is a lot of paint. Because of this, Transformers Titans Return Deluxe Class Krok, is a harmless figure that is great for fans of Titans Return Skullsmasher, or if you just need a new Decepticon for your ranks.
