Mimeena

Original MSRP: 2,500
Toy Number: 5

Mimeena (ミミーナ) is a character from the 17th Metal Hero show, Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack (鉄腕探偵ロボタック). She is a Bunny-type robot, and she supplies other robots in the show with repair services.

She’s kind of a crap toy. When i bought this, I saw the yellowing and sun-fading on the package, and assumed it was all in the cellophane. Boy was I wrong.

Being exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time can do a number on toys. In this case it was probably in the window of an old toy shop in Japan, where the sun faded out the cardboard, yellowed the cellophane, and yellowed the figure. Wander around Japan and you will see many mom-and-pop toy shops with sun-faded toys in their windows.

Mimeena is a very basic action figure. She’s all plastic, features basic articulation, and contains none of the magnet gimmicks that other Robotack figures do. In fact, all she has going for her is the fact that she’s a female bunny robot and she wields a carrot weapon.

See all those weapons she’s packed with? They are not even hers, they are accessories for other Robotack figures.

So yeah, the toy wasn’t really worth the purchase price. But you know what was? The CATALOG.
