Mobile Haro

Original MSRP: 1200
Toy Number: 008

Mobile Haro is #8 in a series of Haro-themed model kits from Bandai. Each kit features at its core a small Haro robot. Some are just color variations, others place Haro in a new and interesting context.

Haro, if you are unaware, is a sort of helper robot that was built by Amuro Ray in the original Mobile Suit Gundam. He’s become a sort of mascot for the series, and has appeared in many Gundam series since.

This version of Haro comes from Gundam Build Fighters, and here he gets a cool powered suit.

These kits are super affordable, running about $10-15 USD, and are completely snap fit. No glue required, and you can build one in under 30 minutes.

The box for Mobile Haro has a great illustrated cover, with design cues from vintage Gunpla kits.

The kit consists of the same Haro that is included with every kit, in this case a white versison, and an exo-suit that Haro fits into. The suit is fully articulated and nicely detailed. It feels very toy-like.

Haro himself is a cool little toy. He can be displayed with or without limbs, and he includes a great display stand that not only can store the unused parts, but can also connect to other stands in the series.

To add Haro to the powered suit – return him to ball mode, lift open the cowl and insert him onto the peg in the cockpit.

Another nice feature are the connection points on the arms, legs, and engines that enable you to attach parts from other Gundam kits.
