Money Tree
The Botanical Collection Money Tree is an original set by JMBricklayer. Money Trees are a symbol of wealth and prosperity, and are supposed to bring it to those who display one in their homes or businesses. If you are like me and can’t keep a plant alive, then a set like this is a good option! The set consists of 1000 pieces and is meant for ages 14 and up.

The box is your typical sturdy JMBricklayer packaging. Inside you get four bags of bricks and an instruction booklet.
Assembly took me about 4 hours, and was pretty straightforward. The build starts with the table then moves on to the planter. This all happens in the bags labeled “1”. The bags labeled “2” make up the tree trunks and the leaves. While the set says there are 1000 pieces, I’d say a good 200 of them are just the leaves.
The completed tree stands about 14 inches tall.
The build isn’t too challenging, but there were some interesting techniques that I had not used before. One interesting technique was the way the pointy corners of the planter were attached. The inside assembly had pegs sticking out and the corners slid onto the pegs, allowing for the difficult angle.
I got a bit confused when assembling the leaves, as all the parts sort of blend together in the instructions. Once I was done I had some parts left over, but I could just put them wherever and it looked great! I bet no two completed sets look entirely alike!
The bills attached to the tree are US $100 bills. Lets hope the tree brings some of them into my life!
