Paratroopa

The Paratroopa is another in Jakks Pacific World of Nintendo line, a series of toys based on iconic Nintendo characters. The Paratroopa comes packaged in a standard plastic clam shell with card board back. He stands just over 3 inches tall. Paint applications are about what you would expect from the price point. The yellow and red colored plastic is very vibrant. Articulation is where this figure really shines, his shoulders are a little hindered by the shell, but he has a very dynamic range in his hips and ankles that allows him to pull off some very nice poses. The wings are on a ball joint can be removed if you so choose. This figure is exactly what I look for at this price point. It’s small, and simple, but also has a lot of entertainment value. I also like that it is self contained, I can keep it on my desk to mess with while I’m on the phone or watching netflix and dont have to worry about losing any pieces. My only real gripe is that I wish he had a hand that was open for holding small accessories that are common with other World of Nintendo toys. At $12.99 it’s a little out of impulse buy range, but if you’re a fan or Mario, this should be an easy buy.
