The crush of 90’s boys everywhere, the MMPR Pink Ranger became one of the most iconic characters in the long-running Power Rangers franchise.
Now Bandai have made the pretty Pink Ranger into a cutesy SD version in the Tamashii Buddies line.
The 3 ½ inch heroine is nicely sculpted and painted.
I quite like the Tamashii Buddies aesthetics for having sensible super deformed proportions and for close adherence to the look of the character. It makes the Tamashii Buddies Pink Ranger look like a quality piece, rather than a big hunk of plastic, like other companies make. (You know the ones I’m talking about. They are everywhere.)
This figure comes with five frame pieces and a backdrop.
You can use three pieces of the plastic frames to secure the backdrop to the rear of the figure. The backdrop for the Pink Ranger is the Pterodactyl of the Ranger’s power coin.
You can also use the four longer frame pieces to stack Tamashii Buddies.
With the MMPR Power Rangers Tamashii buddies I got, I made a pyramid and a tower.
The frames hold together rather well, so you don’t have to worry about your display falling apart if you choose to display your Tamashii buddies stacked on each other.
I like the aesthetics, paint and collectability of the Tamashii buddies line. So if collecting super deformed characters is your thing or you just need a quick Pink Ranger fix, I recommend picking up this figure.
