Ranger Tanser

The Ranger Tanser is part of Tomica’s Hyper Green Ranger line. Like the other Tomica Hyper lines, this toy functions as a stand-alone toy, but is also compatible with other vehicles in the series.

What is a Tanser anyway?

The box is nice, with strong cardboard construction.

The Tanser is an 8 wheeled vehicle with a crane arm, helipad, and vehicle launcher. It’s powered by two fake power cells which light up when activated. The real power comes from 2 AAA batteries which are inserted in a compartment under the vehicle (not included).

Both those chainsaws spin, and are removable. There is also a cockpit for one pilot.

The top has a helipad for use with small Tomica Helicopters, or you can wait until the next review and see another type of helicopter connect. On the rear there are connection points for use with other Tomica sets. The antenna are movable.

The crane can rotate and unfold to reveal a spring loaded claw. The cran also has a seat for one Tomica figure. No figures are included with this set.

The crane can also be used to place the vehicle onto the helipad. If you roll the vehicle forward, it goes down a ramp, triggering the front of the vehicle to split in half and reveal a ramp.

There is also a yellow button on the side that when pressed, pops up vehicle storage for 2 and unfolds a ramp for them. It’s very cool.

Each time an action feature is activated, lights and sounds go off. The sound can also be manually activated, and there is also an on-off switch.
