Arbalest

The ARX-7 Arbalest is a mecha from the series Full Metal Panic! This toy is the descendent of the earlier Revoltech ARX-8 Laevatein. The Laevatein was an amazing release, with great articulation and tons of accessories, and the Arbalest is a worthy successor in the same way.

The figure has 11 Revoltech joints, and a double jointed neck. It also features articulated toes, and each hand has an additional point of articulation at the wrist versus older releases. The sculpt and paint are both great, with no issues.

The range of articulation is great, and you can easily get the figure into a ton of wild poses. Both a shotgun with an extended stock and folded stock are included. The fore-grip moves on both. The collapsed version can be stored on any of the various (5) hard-points on the body.

The magazine is detachable on the large shotgun, and extra magazines are included. There are also five individual shotgun shells, and hands to hold both to show the figure reloading the weapon.

IMG_0021

You also get a large, well-detailed knife, with a sheath that can be attached to the body. There is also a small knife which can be held in the left hand.

Each forearm opens and can be replaced with a part showing a grappling hook.

IMG_0025

Included is a 9 inch string with a hook on the end and a special hand to hold it so you can do cool stuff like this.

Lambda driver parts for the back are included, but you unfortunately do not get anything for the shoulders. The foot effect/stand part that has been included with some other releases is here, but the Arbalest balances well, and it really isn’t necessary unless you like the looks of it.

The new standard Revoltech stand is included in clear with the extension part. Also shown here is the replacement face, which has a peg to hold the small knife. With no skirt armor, the legs can really move!

He can even pull off the splits pretty well.

There are a few things here I didn’t mention yet: the same grenade that was included with the Laevatein, but there isn’t any good way to hold or store it. There is also a cover for the rear hard-point if you want to use it. You also get the standard Revoltech storage container, and coin (not shown). In my opinion, this is an excellent figure, and I highly recommend it.
