Hello Sweetie!

River Song is one of the more interesting characters introduced in the recent run of Doctor Who. One could argue that the last season has been more of River’s story than the Doctor’s. Don’t know who River Song is?
Explaining it would take another entire article. Let’s just say she is cool as hell, and she has been programmed since birth to kill “a good man”.

There have been other River Song figures, but this one is arguably the most kick-ass. This is River in full on awesome mode. When she gets a mysterious invitation to meet the Doctor and his companions in the States, this is how she looks.

Like all Character Options figures, the sculpt and likeness are excellent. My only complaint is that the hair looks a bit odd due to being a separately molded piece and not part of the head.

Articulation is great with joints at the head, shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, and knees. Not bad at all. The only thing that these figures tend to lack are articulated feet.

The only relevant accessory included is a small blaster which can fit in the holster at her side.

Each figure in this series also includes a “flesh” mask and a bag of goo. The mask is meant to represent a “Ganger” – a replica of an individual used instead of the actual person in a dangerous work environment. The packet of Goo is the raw stuff that makes up the ganger. Honestly, it looks gross and I’m not opening it. Use your imagination.

Another great release from Character Options. I wish they would start articulating the feet, and I wish the feet had holes in them to be used with various third party action figure stands.
