Roaring Tiger Gun

Roaring Tiger Gun 爆虎烈枪 (Bào hǔ liè qiāng) is number 02 in the Armored Forces of Heaven and Earth (铠力天地) line by Kaili Toys. It’s a fully transforming foam dart gun (think Nerf) that features diecast metal. It’s pretty great.

The box is striking and loud, with one noticeable difference from the others in the line: this one is in English! Well, as close to English as it’s going to get.

Such notable phrases included are:

– “Thundering Blaze, Shock wave destroys the ecological foreign energy!”
– “Collect together all these 5 models of super dazzling body combinations!”
– “Kaili Paradise, create a happy childhood with you together!”

Roaring Tiger Gun has one of the stronger robot modes in the line. It’s well proportioned, decently articulated and just plain cool.

A small gun can attach in either hand.

Gun mode is compact but hefty. The cool metal grip feels good in your ham hands.

To prep the dart for launch, pull the ring until it clicks. This is a feature found on some cheaper Nerf guns, but here it does not feel cheap at all.

This is another great entry in the line – they manage to make each gun unique but still feel like they fit in the same series. This toy becomes one of the other arms of the combined robot, and it would have been easy to just mirror the designs for each limb. Just one more unit to go until we see the combined form.
