Robot Model
This creatively named “Robot Model” comes from a company called XMORK, and is distributed by HuiNiu. It’s a kit that can be built three ways, and is remote controlled via an app or controller. If you like this, you can get it here: https://amzn.to/3TN9jV8
The box is a study, flip cover style. Inside you get numbered parts baggies, padded bags for the motor parts, instructions and stickers.
While the kit supports three modes, I only built the first mode for this review. Build time was about 4 hours.
The instruction book is thick, with instructions for the app in Chinese and English. Instructions for all three modes are included, and it’s worth noting that you have to completely tear down the existing model to build a different model.
The robot stands 9″ tall when completed and has a design inspired by Wall-E. It’s a very technical build with various gears and mechanisms.
The power function features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and includes a USB charger. There are left, right and top rotating motor functions. A switch on the side activates the power and a red light indicates that it is on. There are other ports on the block, but I don’t know what they do.
Every detail on the kit is a decal, but the decals go on well. Even the eye detail are stickers, and there are 2 different styles for different builds.
Control is via an app or an included controller. The controller requires 2 “AAA” batteries, and supports all-direction movement, plus head motion. Buttons on the top reverse the control directions for the other models that may have the power function aligned differently.
Note that you will have many parts left over depending on which build you do. Not all parts are used on all builds.
Overall, a fun build! Get yours here: https://amzn.to/3TN9jV8
