Slug

Original MSRP: 16.99

Robots are cool. Dinosaurs are cool. Combiners are cool. So, what could possibly be cooler than combining robot dinosaurs? While third party companies have made Dinobot combiners before, I believe this is Hasbro’s first attempt. If Slug is anything to judge by, I’m going to like it.

Slug comes with his blaster and a giant robot hand/foot. There is no disguising the fact that he turns into a triceratops. He looks good and is well articulated.

The gun is simple but decidedly cool.

At the end of the day, though, he’s going to spend most of his time in dinosaur form. I’ve always loved the noble triceratops so he’s a welcome addition to my collection.

His arm and leg modes are slightly counterintuitive transformations, but the end result looks pretty good. Even if you’re not looking to form the full team, Slug is plenty of fun all on his own.
