Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Today I will be reviewing Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann from Kaiyodo’s outrageously popular Revoltech line. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann comes in the very familiar window box and is number 062 in the Revoltech lineup.

To avoid being so repetitive I will be referring to Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann as “TTGL” is the rest of this review.

As you can see in this pic, the face has some really cool paint detail. What is so amazing about this is that the head is about 3/8″ wide or less! Wow! Does someone have steady hands or what?

TTGL comes with the usual Revoltech array of accessories, Including different hands, drill, flames and stand. The drill accessory is one of my favorite, it has a simulated spark that attaches to the end of the drill tip giving it some realism.

As you can see in the pics below, TTGL is highly detailed and has all the articulation you now expect from a Revoltech figure.

I really like the green flames (spiral energy), they almost appear to be like up swept wings.

Dropkick! Check out the faces that are on every limb of TTGL. Is that two faces in the chest? Cool!

To sum it up, I like this figure a lot. My only gripe is the flames on its back. the flames make it very top heavy, which leads it to fall backward easily. However, this flaw can be remedied when using the included stand.
