Tetsujin 28
Soft Garage’s Tetsujin 28 from the Legend Of Gokin line is a review 5% because it is a cool Chogokin and 95% because Shogundan has passed, and of course I miss his presence, but also his reviews (everyone does great reviews, just seemed like Dan did reviews on items that were mostly diecast and Chogokin I would always want… emailed him about!). I also like to do reviews he might have done, to honor him. Therefore, he did a review of Karoria Tetsujin (Mass production type) which is this guy exactly, other than coloring. By the way, I like his version mucho better.
Soft Garage’s Tetsujin 28 comes in the cool Popy-styled packaging that Shogundan mentioned.
He comes with a totally metal control box and two PVC flames for his jet-pack.
He is a little short compared to Bandai SOC.
Other than his jet-pack, flames, and joints, he is all diecast greatness with such a high quality paint job (you can actually see me in his reflection…).
His waist does not twist and leg joints at hips don’t tilt like SOC versions, but he is sturdy and not “floppy” like Bandai’s SOC and Aoshima’s Chogokin normally are.
I got mine for around 45 dollars including shipping and like his look… but he’s a tiny bit small for my taste.
I recommend you click on Shogundan’s name search/read any reviews he did. They were great and all the frustration you will feel trying to track down all his great Chogokin reviewed, for the ridiculously great prices he always got… I would like to think will make him smile wherever he is.
