TIE Fighter

Hey look it’s another Tomica Star Wars review! This time it’s the TSW-03 TIE Fighter as seen in the original trilogy. Tomica vehicles are a line of diecast vehicles similar to Hot Wheels or Matchbox in the US. They are palm-sized representations of Star Wars vehicles, and they all have to roll.

Included is a vehicle and two-part stand. As all Tomica vehicles have to have wheels, vehicles that are hard to put wheels on get this clear wheeled stand.

The TIE Fighter is probably 99% diecast. The whole thing is very sturdy, with no moving parts. The window in the middle is plastic and is slightly loose, just enough to rattle when you shake it.

The texture on the wings is really satisfying. Feels good man.

There’s not a lot to say about these, but they are pretty cool. I wonder how they compare to similar offerings from Hot Wheels and the Star Wars Black Series?
