Transformix Robot

Transformix Robot is one of those off-brand toys that would normally be lumped in with bootlegs (and are often found in the same stores), but is actually a rather neat, well designed product.

It comes on a card, and is available in three color schemes that I know of:

  • Orange/Black
  • Yellow/Black
  • Pink/White
On the card it says that it’s manufactured by a company called “Le Jia Wang” from Guangdong province in China. You can check out the manufacturer’s item page here. I’m sure it’s been knocked off by others.
The card is actually nice, with bright graphics and a clear bubble.

The back has instructions, and some multi-language warnings. Note the Arabic – you don’t see that too often.

Let’s start with Flashlight mode, or as the British call them – “Torch.”

Three batteries are included and easily inserted.

Hit the switch on the head and the light works!

This is actually very bright. You could use this as a real flashlight if the power went out.
There are several possible modes. Let’s start with this one which I shall dub “Humaniod Mode.”

All the joints are tight, and hold poses well. Don’t forget to turn up the horns on the head.

The next mode I call “Sentinel” mode. All six legs are utilized and it looks fantastic.

Finally, this mode is “Crawler” mode. I would love something like this that actually moved around on its own.

This little guy is good, cheap fun. The quality is great, the transformation is suprisingly solid, and the light is bright. Grab one if you get the chance.
