Papa Emeritus II Deluxe Mask
If you haven’t been able to tell by now, I am a huge fan of the band Ghost. I’ve reviewed a few of their action figures before, but when Fun.com offered the Papa Emeritus II Deluxe Mask for review I couldn’t say no. It’s really a great idea for a cosume – Ghost is so theatrical and pretty easy to cosplay Papa with masks like this.

The mask is “one size fits all” for adults and I have a big cranium – I had concerns it wouldn’t fit but it actually fits really well. There’s a big slit up the back that allows it to easily slip on and off. And I have a beard too, and you can’t see it under the mask, so thats another win.
It’s a nice sculpt, and the mix of the latex mask and cloth accents really elevate this to the next level.
It’s officially licensed Ghost merchandise, with a tag that has care instructions inside.
Two cloth tassles attach from the back and drape around the front, with the Ghost icon printed on them.
The cloth cap is permanently attached to the mask, and feels like a really good quality. Everything is embroidered instead of printed. There’s a wire embedded into the line of the cap so you can re-shape it as it tends to get a bit bent in the packaging when it arrives. Note that the promo picture on the website has the cap skewed to one side, rest assured it ships centered like it should.
I am not a mask guy. I get claustrophobic easily, but this mask works due to the large eye holes. You should probably get some black eye makup to paint around the eyes to fill up the gaps, but I didn’t to show how much of your eyes you can see in the mask.
There are also holes in the nose and ears. It’s quite breathable actually.
What I like about this mask is that you can use it for a costume or cosplay, and then it can be displayed as part of your collection.
