Triper 75S

Triper 75S is the car that the pilot of Damos, Kazuya Ryuuzaki, drives. When Daimos is in truck mode, the Triper enters Daimos through the doors in the rear of the trailer to begin the process of transforming into robot mode.

This is one of two diecast versions of the Triper vehicle released by Popy. The larger one was released as part of the Popynica series with the number PB-51. This is a smaller, cheaper version, released under the D series. It was released in this clear compact vinyl package, and also on a blue colored card. They are a little bigger than Matchbox cars.

The vinyl package is often found warped, cracked and yellowed. This one is in good shape. The top secures with a firm snap.

Included in the package is the vehicle, missiles, and instructions.

What separates the D series from other Popy chogokin lines is the inclusion of pull-back motors. Each vehicle uses rubber wheels and a pull back motor to roll across a flat surface.

The body is a nice diecast, with real rubber tires and chrome fold-out wings.

On the side of the cockpit is a working missile launcher.

This version is more common, and more affordable, than the Popynica version. I think the vinyl pouch version is a bit rarer than the carded version, and also enables you to play with the toy without destroying the packaging.
