Victory Gundam

Original MSRP: 3600
Toy Number: 087

While I am not a huge fan of Gundam I am a sucker for a clean uncluttered Gundam design. Victory Gundam fits the bill and Bandai has a really cool little release here. We will be taking a look at #087 of the Robot Spirits line. It is the LM312V04 Victory Gundam. this design is built around a Core Fighter base and made up of a top fighter and bottom fighter. What is good about this separating design is that it allows the pilot to continue in battle should his suit be damaged or destroyed. Unfortunately, this figure does not allow any separation as this release concentrates on the full robot form.

Here he as straight out of the box. Right off the bat, I noticed that the figure is quite sturdy for something so small.

Since I really only paid attention to the RX-78-2 in the past, it was refreshing to find another Gundam I can get into. It really is a basic design, but that’s what I like about it.

Articulation is very good allowing all sorts of poses.

Even the feet are split in two to allow more articulation.

Waist and upper chest movement is very generous.

He can even kneel so dropping his gun shouldn’t be a problem.

Should you need more shoulder articulation, the arms pull out to provide a greater range of movement.

V Gundam has a couple of cool little gimmicks like little opening panels and such. Very cool for a figure of this size of approximately 4.5″.

Of course Gundam comes with weapons. Minovsky technology is in full effect here. Here are his Beam sabers, Beam Shield and gun accessories.

I’m pretty happy with this figure especially with how firm the joints are. I was really expecting a floppy figure but I really do enjoy it. I almost forgot to mention that it comes with the obligatory spare V-Fin in case you lose it or damage it. Seeing how nice this Victory Gundam is, makes me look forward to the RX-78-2 which I will be reviewing soon.
