X-Ray Man & Dog

Before the recent 20th anniversary Imaginext Tribute Figures, Fisher Price released this Adventure People tribute in their blind bag series in 2018. The X-Ray Man & Dog are a blue tint instead of green, but are clearly tributes to the X-Ray Man of old.

The set comes with a fixed-pose dog and translucent figure.

The figure is a nice nod to the X-Ray Man. The eyes are the same yellow, the chest plate uses the same details. He even has bare feet like the original. I think the feet were re-used from a pirate figure – if you look at the details there are some organic things like bandages and such. But maybe that in itself is a tribute as the original X-Ray Man was re-used from another figure.

I’ve used Blu-tac to stick him in place for posing.

The dog is super cool, but he’s just one solid clear piece of plastic. I don’t know if he’s from another set but I imagine so.

Here he is with the rest of the X-Ray family – you can see the color isn’t the same but they all go good together.
