Deformation Robot

This here Deformation Robot was given to me by our own AJPro Diecast. Apparently he ordered what he thought was a higher-end Optimus Prime and he got this instead. He figured i’d like to review it, and he was right.

What this is in reality is a scaled up Generations Legends Optimus Prime. It’s not bad actually.

The box is decent, with nice art.

The plastic tray is flimsy as heck, with no place to store the weapons.

Deformation Robot

The toy itself is not half bad. The entire front in truck mode is diecast, so in robot mode its just the window assemblies, but they are big and chunky. He stands about 7 inches tall in robot mode.

The chest opens up to reveal a not-autobot logo.

The panel the head is on gets in the way of the chest panels, so you may see him posed with the head tilted down.

For weapons he has a gun and an axe. Both have numerous connection points, but no visible place to connect them on the robot in either mode (aside from in the hands).

Robot mode goes together well and simply. It would be toddler friendly if it wasnt for the heavy diecast in use.

The wheels are kind of crap. Panels don’t line up.

All things considered it’s actually not too bad as long as you know what you are getting into. I appreciate the use of diecast and the sharp molding. It’s very sturdy feeling, and simple and fun to transform.
